About Us

Salgu Wissmath Photography offers portraits, headshots, wedding & event photography, nonprofit & video storytelling, and documentary photography. Salgu is a queer, nonbinary, Korean American photographer based in San Antonio, TX. They use they/them pronouns.

Salgu specializes in documenting the LGBTQIA+ community. If you have an LGBTQIA+ wedding, want to take portraits to document your gender transition, or just want some new headshots to affirm who you are, they would love to work with you.

Their background is in photojournalism and they will apply a documentary touch to your photo session. They have also worked for publications such as The San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio Magazine, The Texas Tribune, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, and NPR.

They are proud to be part of several photo organizations dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the photo industry including Diversify Photo, Women Photograph, and Authority Collective.
