Medical Biller Cantera Psychiatry

In search of a medical biller for psychiatry practice.  Must have experience with billing concepts to commercial insurances.  
 

• Billing and collections issues 
• Responsible for payer and patient account balances being paid timely and remaining current
• Monitors delinquent accounts and performs collection duties. Reviews reports, identifies denied claims, researches and resolves issues, may perform a detailed reconciliation of accounts, resubmits claim to payer.
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure account balances are current. Works with co-workers to resolve payment and billing errors.
• Complete charge entry.
• Assists patients to secure past due balances, verify patient demographics and insurance providers, updates information in systems, and documents conversations.
• Contacts third party payers to resolve payer issues, expedites claim processing, and maximizes medical claim reimbursements.
• Communicates with management when payer opportunities are identified.
• Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.
• Answer the phone in a professional manner and follow procedures for routing calls.
• Retrieve checks returned to customers in error, adjusting customer accounts and answering inquiries about errors as necessary.
• Understanding of A/R
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Weekly meetings with upper management
