Eligibility: To qualify for election to the Board, a Member must have maintained Good Standing for at least six (6) consecutive months before the Meeting where the election takes place.

Member in Good Standing: A Member is considered in Good Standing if they are not more than two (2) months overdue on any dues owed to the Chamber and are in compliance with these By-Laws. All Members in Good Standing have voting rights.

Member: This term refers to an individual, a small business, a medium-sized business, or a corporation that holds Membership.

Membership: This refers to the status of being a member of the San Antonio LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. Collectively, all Members are referred to as the Membership.

The SA LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce Board is a dynamic and active working board. Board members are expected to attend at least one standing board meeting each month (either virtually or in-person), participate in 3 Lunch & Learn events annually, engage in 10 networking mixer events each year, and take part in 3 - 4 premier events throughout the year. Members should be punctual and present at every meeting, allowing for a maximum of two absences. The estimated time commitment ranges from 3 to 5 hours per week, depending on activities inside and outside of meetings. Additionally, board members are encouraged to engage in fundraising and development efforts, which include making an annual contribution to community leaders that holds personal significance. A minimum commitment of one year is expected for board members.
