The Bias Inside Us: A Panel Discussion

Help us unravel "The Bias Inside Us", which is the much anticipated Smithsonian Institute traveling exhibit which will be hosted right here in San Antonio! Join SAAACAM at Texas Public Radio (321 W. Commerce) on Monday, October 14th as we hold a lively panel discussion that will raise awareness about the science and history of bias, and what we as our community can do about it. "The Bias Inside Us" traveling exhibit is a community engagement project and exhibition and its goal is to help people understand and counter their implicit biases and build capacity in communities through resources to convene dialogue that will increase empathy and create more inclusive schools, workplaces and communities. Doors open and light refreshments will be available in the TPR lobby, 321 W. Commerce at 5:30pm. The discussion begins promptly at 6pm in the Malú and Carlos Alvarez Theater, followed immediately by an audience Q&A. This discussion will be moderated by Dr. George Williams, OLLU Vice President and Chief of Staff, and our panelists for the evening will include Leonora "Light" Walker, CEO of Freed Texas, Rebecca Rosenberg, CEO of ReBokeh Vision Technologies, and Justin Muñoz, President of the San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce. FREE Parking will be validated ONLY if you are parked in the City Tower Parking Garage at 117 W. Commerce Street. Tickets to attend this event are FREE, but pre-registration is required.
