Healing with Pride: Queer Health Matters — Access, Equity & Advocacy

The journey to mental and physical wellness is deeply personal—but when compounded by systemic inequities and marginalization, it can feel like an uphill battle.
Join us for Healing with Pride, an evening dedicated to exploring the intersection of LGBTQ+ health, self-care, and advocacy. This dynamic event will kick off with a community panel discussion featuring health professionals, LGBTQ+ advocates, and healthcare providers who will share insights on the real barriers LGBTQ+ individuals face in accessing quality, affirming care. Topics will include trans-inclusive health, mental wellness, and strategies to promote more equitable healthcare systems.
But the healing doesn’t end there.
After the panel, attendees are invited to stay for “We’ll Play Around with Buti Yoga for PRIDE,” a high-energy outdoor session led by Breezy — an intersex woman, certified Buti Yoga and fitness instructor, and proud San Antonio native. Get ready for a night of expression, movement, yoga, and joyful dance like no one's watching. This experience is meant to help build connection, foster healing, and offer a space for radical self-love in community.
Breezy brings unstoppable energy and heart to every class. With a background in African Dance Studies and a BFA from Columbia College Chicago, she has performed and taught around the world before returning home to launch HOK, her own performing arts company rooted in empowerment and creative expression.
What to Know:
- The Buti Yoga session will take place outdoors. We recommend dressing light and comfortably.
- Appetizers and light refreshments will be provided.
- All levels welcome — whether you’re curious, experienced, or simply want to vibe and support.
This is more than a panel — it’s a movement for queer healing, community care, and powerful self-expression. Come ready to listen, learn, and move with us under the stars
